Step 3 – SASS PLATE DESIGNfood4thought3-rgb

An important moment in the unit involved our students looking into “MyPlate”, the current nutrition guide published by the USDA Center of Nutrition Policy and Promotion. This is a food circle depicting a place setting with a plate and glass divided into five food groups. After that, they investigated the nutrition guide which applies for our country called “Plato Saludable Argentino”. After comparing and contrasting them, the children in Y5 designed their own version of such a plate called SassPlate.
