Our experts are now prepared to get into somebody else’s shoes. City X is waiting for them. Students roll up their sleeves, the process has started.
Each kid in the workshop is presented with an issue faced by a fictional character in City X, and they must invent, design, and prototype an object or device that solves their character’s problem. The issues faced by the citizens of City X are representative of real-world social issues that we face here on Earth.
Children are given time to explore and analyse different categories (health, transport, communication, daily life, agriculture and safety) and select the problem they will try and solve. These are some of the different options:
