We had the opportunity to attend the 2016 NAEYC Annual Conference in Los Angeles, CA on  November 2-5, which is considered the largest early childhood education conference in the world. During 4 days we had the chance to attend different sessions where we not only learnt from them but we also had the opportunity to meet teachers and experts from different curricular areas from all over the world, become updated on trends and  learn about innovative ideas through hands-on workshops. We also had the chance to visit the Expo where we could learn about the latest educational resources being used around the world which inspired many ideas to bring back to our school.

The conference left us energized and inspired but we also feel very proud as we realize that many of the innovative ideas presented in the conference are carried out in our school.

And of course we also had the chance to enjoy Los Angeles and meet it´s beautiful highlighted spots, events and restaurants!

A trip is always an enriching experience in all senses but we feel this one has exceeded our expectations and  filled us with enthusiasm towards teaching by being able not only to learn new and interesting things but also for having the time to reflect on our own practice. We look forward for more opportunities like this one as we are very thankful for what we could learn.

We hope our experience  encourages more teachers to participate in the 2016 Professional Development Contest with interesting projects done along the year.
