HOW CHILDREN SUCCEED
Grit, curiosity and the hidden power of character
Paul Tough (First Mariner Books, 2012)
Paul Tough goes through different classrooms and cities in the US showing how children from disadvantaged settings can overcome their circumstances and be successful in schooling and as a consequence in life. Full of anecdotes and experiences from his interviews with these teachers and students … An easy read but not for that matter uninspiring. Each of the people mentioned are an example to follow : the educators for their passion to help their children succeed, the students for being brave enough to take on developing character.
